In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (Air Fuel Ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level; this in-turn, can\u003cstrong\u003e increase an engines power\u003c\/strong\u003e due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque. Both the filters offered can be oiled by the end user to prevent extremely fine dust, found in very hot climates, entering the inlet tract. This will enable no detriment to the running of the engine, as the Hyundai’s 1.6L Turbo charged engine has no MAF sensor housed after the filter. Testing was completed using \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.performanceremap.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ePerformance Remap\u003c\/a\u003e in Gloucester with their VTEC 4 wheel drive dynamometer. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, peak power was increased from stock by \u003cstrong\u003e11bhp\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003e43nm\u003c\/strong\u003e of torque with the Forge Motorsport performance intercooler installed. With the OEM cooler two consecutive runs showed a maximum temperature of 44°C at 6747rpm. With FMINT28 installed we ran four consecutive runs, and the temperature didn’t rise to any more than 32°C at 6717rpm. \u003cstrong\u003eThis 12°C is a massive temperatire decrease of 32%.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s also worth noting that the dyno cells ambient temperature rose from 24°C to 29°C between the test days so you may experience even better results. With this reduced intake air temperature (IAT), you will prevent the stock ECU from pulling out the engines timing which results in a loss of power.
