This panel replaces the OEM trunk panel but still allows the Coupe hood to be stored in the boot.

The Eventuri C8 ZR1 Corvette intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with no fibreglass which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain smoother airflow. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:

Each intake system consists of:

Carbon Fiber Double Venturi Filter Housing

Bespoke High Flow Dry Cone Filters

Carbon Fiber Inlet Ducts

Carbon Fiber Turbo Tubes

Clear Polycarbonate Trunk Panel

Silicon Couplers

Laser Cut Stainless Steel Brackets and Heat Shields

Custom Inlet Flanges

Custom Flexible Hoses

PATENTED FILTER HOUSING

The ZR1 Filter Housing features two of our patented Venturi pods, designed to merge into a large-volume intake chamber while integrating dual MAF tubes that precisely direct airflow to each turbocharger.

This system is the next evolution of our C8 Z06 housing, developed through months of intensive prototyping, testing, and data-driven refinement.

Inside the carbon fibre housing are two bespoke high-flow filters paired with aluminium cowls that help guide airflow directly onto the filtration surfaces. The housing surrounds the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly transitions airflow toward the MAF tubes.

As the cross-sectional area gradually reduces, the design creates a Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar flow conditions—much like a large velocity stack. The result is highly efficient airflow delivery and improved turbocharger response.

Further details can be read in the Technology page.

Animation depicting the features of our filter housing concept.

BESPOKE CONE FILTER

The filter we chose for the ZR1 system allows for a balance between filtration area and overall filter housing volume. Our initial prototypes used a larger filter but these extended too far into the housing and disrupted the flow towards each MAF tube section. By using a shorter cone we were able to optimise the shape of the housing for better flow towards the MAF tubes while maintaining more than sufficient filtration area for the CFM demands. The filter medium is ISO tested to ensure that filtration is in line with OEM standards and is also dry. The filter is constructed with our signature flow cones to aid in the Venturi housing principle.

CARBON TURBO TUBES

During performance testing, it became clear that the OEM turbo tubes were restricting the potential of the LT7 engine. By carefully analysing the available space, we redesigned them to increase the internal volume of each tube by 30%.

This significant gain in volume reduces airflow restriction, allowing the turbochargers to operate more efficiently and reach peak boost earlier in the RPM range.

OEM COMPARISON

Here you can see our carbon tubes against the OEM versions. We retain a larger cross sectional area through the mid-section all the way to the outlets where these tubes then connect to the final elbows which connect to the turbos.

By superimposing the OEM turbo tube CAD data against the Eventuri design, the difference in size and geometry becomes immediately apparent.

Not only do our tubes offer increased volume, but they also feature a more progressive curvature, carefully engineered to maintain smooth, uninterrupted airflow through to the turbos.

CARBON DUCTS

The ducts channels ambient air from the side vents to the filter housing. In order to ensure a good seal against engine bay heat – they are secured to the filter housing at 3 points and use a neoprene gasket for an airtight seal . The ducts were designed to have the maximum internal volume possible within the given geometry of the engine bay. This ensures that the filter housing is able to draw with minimum restriction.

CLEAR TRUNK PANEL

Designing an intake to have a large volume with smooth airflow to the engine was not possible with the limited space which was in part due to the stock trunk panel so we redesigned it to accommodate our intake. In doing so we took the opportunity to showcase the carbon fiber and so made the panel from clear polycarbonate. This allows for a window to see the intake when the trunk is opened – an industry first for this platform.

The new panel allows the OEM roof from the coupe to be stored in the boot as intended.

BRACKET WORK

We have designed a framework to allow the OEM wiring looms to be secured in place and kept out of view. The bracket work is laser cut from Stainless Steel and Aluminum.

INLET FLANGES

Our custom inlet flanges and flexible hoses connect the intake to the stock cold air feeds on each side. This ensures that engine bay heat is kept out of the intake system.

Bespoke flexible hoses designed specifically for the C8 platform allow the intake to move with the engine while maintaining a seal for the cold air feeds.

The complete system comes together to provide an intake which genuinely transforms the driving experience of the C8 ZR1.

Performance

DYNO TESTING

Our C8 Z06 Intake was developed in conjunction with Corvette specialists, Paragon Performance who carried out performance testing and data logging for each prototype that we produced. All other variables were minimised for a reliable and repeatable result. A fully stock ZR1 was tested with engine temperatures at a stabilized value and then the car was left on the dyno while the intake was installed. After installation the car was allowed to reach the same temperatures and then run on the dyno several times for a consistent result. In fact the dyno runs with the Eventuri intake were done with higher ambient temperatures.

As can be seen, there is a significant gain throughout the RPM range, and in particular in the mid-range around 5300rpm where the intake released gains of up to 110whp and 108ft-lb of torque. This is unchartered territory for an intake and just shows how restrictive the stock system is. These gains translate to the road with a much more responsive feel and a new found aggression through the RPM under full acceleration. Importantly it is the total gain across the entire RPM range which our intake releases that brings the ZR1 up to another level.

CFD ANALYSIS

CFD flow analysis was conducted on the intake to optimise the shape for smooth flow and therefore reduced drag. The streamlines demonstrate how the intake takes turbulent flow upstream of the filters and shapes the flow to be smooth and linear as it collects and moves through the MAF tube sections to the throttle body. The velocity increases as it moves through the MAF tube yet remains laminar and uniform throughout the tube to the engine. This analysis is showing the results for one of the prototypes, which was then improved for the final version.

Vehicle Fitment

Make

Model

Chassis

Models

Years

Chevrolet

Corvette

C8

All models

2025–2026
