About the Mantis MTP-1004 Porsche Performance Ignition Coil.

Developed for Porsche’s modern 9A2-era engine family, most notably this Porsche Performance Ignition Coil fits the 991.2 and 992 3.0T & 3.8T generations of the Porsche 911, and the fabulous 4.0 in the GT cars. Alongside these are the ever-popular 718 Boxster and Cayman, including the 2.0T, 2.5T, GT4, Spyder, GT4 RS and Spyder RS.

The same Porsche Performance Ignition Coil also supports selected Porsche Cayenne, Macan and Panamera models, covering turbocharged flat-four and flat-six engines, naturally aspirated 4.0-litre GT engines, and compatible V6 and V8 applications from around 2016 to 2026.

These engines power an exceptionally broad range of modern Porsche performance cars, yet share a common ignition coil architecture. The MTP-1004 provides a dedicated performance alternative as a single, direct OE plug-and-play replacement.

Sold individually: the price is for one coil. An engine needs one coil per cylinder. Flat-six and V6 engines take 6, the 718 four-cylinder takes 4 and V8s take 8.
