Clutch Cover SACHS Performance
The reinforced SACHS Performance clutch cover 883082.999764 has fundamental advantages against an OE clutch cover, such as a higher transmittable torque and higher resistance against thrust. It also allows for faster and sportier gearshifts. That makes the Performance clutch cover extremely useful for street tuning, endurance races, hill climbing and for vehicles that are often driven with their maximum gross vehicle weight.
The SACHS Performance clutches are assembled by hand. This guarantees at all times the highest quality attributes in clamping load and release characteristics.
Advantages
Higher transmittable torque
Higher clamp load
Less abrasion
Easy replacement
The Technology
The SACHS Performance clutch pressure plate for Porsche, among others is firmly bolted to the flywheel and, when engaged, transmits the engine torque to the clutch disc via the housing, the tangential leaf springs and the clutch pressure plate. Decisive factors for the design of the pressure plate for your SACHS Racing Clutch vehicle modules are the heat capacity of the pressure plate and the contact and release force of the diaphragm spring.
This spring presses the axially movable pressure plate against the clutch disc and the flywheel when the clutch is engaged. The diaphragm spring of the SACHS Performance pressure plate for Porsche ensures a high transmittable engine torque thanks to its shape, material and sporty characteristics.
The clutch is one of the most heavily stressed elements in the drivetrain. Even after many thousands of clutch operations, the spring must still work reliably, even if the force and travel ratios change in every vehicle due to the system-related wear of the clutch friction material.
