Why?

Most BMW axles from 07 onwards were manufactured with a friction-welded ring gear and differential. This can cause some headaches for installation concerning vehicle downtime while the factory differential/ring gear is separated by precisely machining the parts away.

Axles can vary by model, trim and market supplied. Please supply your VIN prior, at or after checkout so out team can cross-check what axle BMW specify your car was fitted with from the factory, ensuring you are supplied with the correct axle.

We take your usable axle you supply, deconstruct, take your original, single-piece ring gear and differential, separate it from the differential, machine, drill and tap to accept bolts, supply a Wavetrac LSD, and fit to the axle. We ship the built axle to you.

2) Supply and fit a Wavetrac LSD into a Regal sourced axle (pending availability)

We source a usable axle, deconstruct, take your original, single-piece ring gear and differential, separate it from the differential, machine, drill and tap to accept bolts, supply a Wavetrac LSD, and fit to the axle. We ship the built axle to you.

3) Supply and fit a Wavetrac LSD into a new axle from BMW

We order a new axle from BMW, deconstruct, separate the ring gear from the differential, machine, drill and tap to accept bolts, supply a Wavetrac LSD, and fit it to the axle. We ship the built axle to you.

Axles are supplied dry, without oil. You must fill to the manufacturer-specified level before use.
